World News in Brief - 2nd October 2012


- At least 36 people have lost their lives after a boat crash between 2 passenger boats in Hong Kong off Lamna Island.

- JP Morgan chase the investment bank is to be sued suggesting that it was involved in fraud and where its investors who lost millions of dollars because of the mortgage backed securities they offered them.

- Ed Miliband to give conference speech which outlines the labour parties plans for the 50% of young people who don't go to university.

- A 5 year old girl was abducted in Powys. Hundreds of volunteers were helping in the search for April Jones who was spotted getting into a van on Monday.

- According to a recent survey young people are smoking, drinking and taking drugs less than at any time since records began.
