News Update - 26th October 2012

- Car bomb attack in Afghanistan kills and injured many people. The suicide bomb attack in maymana happened outside a mosque where people were attending prayers marking the Eid-al-ddha holiday.

- A Exxon oil executive was shot dead outside a restaurant in Brussels the Belgian capital details of which are only just being reported as the shootings happened nearly 2 weeks ago when Nicholas Mockford had been leaving the Da Marcello Italian restaurant with his wife he was shot dead.

There has been talk that Mr Mockford was deliberately targeted.

- New rises in gas and electric bills which was lead by British gas some weeks ago has been added to by the latest energy suppliers EDF announces their increase of 10.8%


- The proposed ceasefire to mark the Muslim holiday of Eid-al-Adha care into effect Syria expected to last four days however the Syrian government has promised retaliation against any rebel attacks.
The UN and Arab League are hoping that the cease fire could lead to a longer term peace plan.


- Gilberto Valle a New York policeman was arrested for plotting to kidnap women, rape and torture them and cook and eat their body parts.
