News Update - 11th October 2012

- Syrian plan forced to have in Turkey according to reports a so called Syrian passenger plan was forced to land and was intercepted by Turkey fighter jets.

The plan was apparently on route from Moscow to Damascus and was rumoured to be carrying military equipment a spokesmen for Turkey said that the "objectionable" materials has been confiscated. There has been high tension between Syria and Turkey after 5 civilians in Turkey were killed by a motor bomb.

- Schools around the country are arranging for thousands of pupils to re-sit their GCSE's after the dispute regarding the original gradings.

- The cyclist Armstrong was apparently at the centre of what the USA anti-doping agency said was the most sophisticated doping program that the cycling sports had ever seen.
The report stared that Armstrong as "engaged in serial cheating".

- There has been a high increase in China of forced evictions where local officials are seeling off land for development.
