- There was an amazing solar eclipse in Australia where thousands of people watched the eclipse Queensland was plunged into darkness for around two minutes.

There has been a call for action and solidarity by unions and work leaders calling for a abandonment of austerity measures brought in by many EU countries are expected in Greece, Portugal, Italy and Spain.
