US and Japan to Agree Terms to Move Marines

The Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda has agreed terms with the US to move 9000 marines from the island of Okinawa to other areas in the Asian Pacific region such as Hawaii and Guam.

However 10,000 troops will remain at Okinawa. Locals on Okinawa say having the Futenma base near a city is noisy and could be dangerous and would like it removed altogether.
