The billionaire Clive Palmer said he was going to build a modern version of the Titanic keeping it as close to the original design but with modern technology.

The order has gone to a Chinese state owned company and should be ready to said in 2016

US and Japan to Agree Terms to Move Marines


The Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda has agreed terms with the US to move 9000 marines from the island of Okinawa to other areas in the Asian Pacific region such as Hawaii and Guam.



However 10,000 troops will remain at Okinawa. Locals on Okinawa say having the Futenma base near a city is noisy and could be dangerous and would like it removed altogether.

China & North Korea Remain Firm Allies

With North Korea relying on China for its closes trading partner and the Chinese President has pledged his support to North Korea.

All of this comes on the back drop of the failed rocket launch on the 13th April.

Tension between South and North Korea couldn't be higher with the USA raising allegations that a missile launcher seen in Pyongyang last week was of Chinese origin and there are signs that North Korea maybe planning a third nuclear test soon.

Has The UN Got it Right in Syria?

According to reports over 70 people were killed in Hama, by a apparent crack down by the Syria Government troops.

the US said that the UN monitoring mission was "risky and dangerous, with only a few current monitors on the ground trying to observe the promised cease fire".

The UN wants to increase its monitors to 300 with Kofi Annan due to meet the security council on Tuesday.

Insurance FSA Changes

FSA has stated that it needs around 16% more funding as it final year as our regulator.

They have talked about 'Twin Peaks' to try and start mirror imagining the new regulator, stating that it has a "chance to get it right for the future".

The idea will be to have two groups of supervisors, one dealing with prudential code and the other focusing on broker conduct.
